Description

Bell Schedule is a smart class scheduler, interactive countdown timer and pocket schedule designed for students, schoolchildren and teachers. The application has more than 10,000 downloads on Google Play.

🎯 Main business logic and features:

  • Accurate time calculation (Class Countdown): Visual counter in real time, calculating hours, minutes and seconds before the start or end of the current lesson/recess.
  • Notification and alarm system (School Bell Alarms):Deep integration with the Android system alarm service for accurate triggering of a loud school bell at the beginning or end of a lesson. A system of preliminary soft warnings has been implemented 5 minutes before the call.
  • Data exchange via QR codes:Unique schedule sharing function. The user can generate a QR code or a unique synchronization code, with which classmates can instantly import the finished schedule in one click.
  • Interface customization (Vibrant Colors):Flexible color coding of subjects for visual separation of complex lectures.
  • Desktop widgets:Development of interactive widgets for the Android home screen, displaying the timer before the bell and a summary of activities for today/week.

  • Full offline mode (Offline-First):The application works completely offline without constant network requirement, using a local SQLite database.
  • Energy Efficient (Battery Friendly):Background timer and alarm logic is designed to meet the strict Doze Mode restrictions in modern versions of Android, preventing background battery drain.
  • Independent UI/UX design:The interface was completely designed by me in Android Studio Layout Editor and customized to the user’s needs without using heavy third-party graphic libraries.
